WOW! It’s Been a Minute…

It’s been 4 years (nearly to the date) that I’ve posted to this site. Living it day-to-day is either overwhelming or mundane. I’ll try to catch you up on the important stuff, and give you a sense of the time that has passed.

By September of 2021, I was happily committed to a work-from-home situation. It was suddenly much easier to take my mom to doctors’ appointments, lunch, or just sit with her and watch a “ball” game – my mother pretty much liked any kind of “ball” game, except baseball.

It was a quiet, happy time. Not much to complain about. With COVID restrictions, like wait staff shortages at restaurants and wait lines for in-store shopping at Target and Costco, we stuck around the house a lot. So, I did what I do… I started taking a hammer to walls! (Not always sure if it wasn’t holding up the house!)

It’s started in the summer, though, that Greg must have been bored, too. He handily took out every wall in our living room/kitchen to the studs. That’s when I had an idea…

There’s not much archival information on my calendar, except one date at the end of August. August 30th, “Christian from YourSon Construction” was scheduled to come an look at our “new space.” And, well, that started something!
